Registered Social Worker

I work with men who find themselves feeling stuck, worn down, or questioning their sense of purpose. This can show up through the pressures of work and the “rat race,” challenges in family life or relationships, experiences of loss, or a general feeling of wondering what it’s all for. During these times, new emotions can surface — confusion, frustration, anger, anxiety, or a deep sense of disconnection. Having a space to talk with someone who understands these experiences can make a meaningful difference.

I believe deeply in the inherent worth and value of every person. My approach is person-centred and trauma-informed, meaning therapy moves at your pace and is shaped by what feels most important to you. I draw on principles from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while also integrating elements of Motivational Interviewing and Emotionally Focused Therapy when helpful.

Therapy can feel complex or intimidating, especially if it’s unfamiliar. I aim to create a safe, practical, and down-to-earth space where emotions and experiences can be explored in ways that make sense. My own life experiences — including time spent in the military and as a high-performance athlete — help me connect with men who may not easily relate to traditional therapeutic language.

I have a particular interest in supporting men experiencing anxiety, shame, and depression, as well as those navigating grief and loss. Whether loss comes through death, estrangement, or divorce, many men feel unprepared for the intensity of emotions that follow. I work alongside clients to help them understand, process, and move through these experiences in healthier and more constructive ways.
