Our Story

A space dedicated to men's mental health
First Step Men's Therapy was established in 2021 with one purpose: to help men across Ontario develop healthier relationships with themselves and others. Therapy can be very stigmatizing, especially for men. Since opening First Step Men's Therapy, over one thousand men from across Ontario have reached out for support on a wide variety of mental health issues.
First Step Men’s Therapy specializes in treating the underlying issues that men often struggle with silently. Whether you are struggling with anger, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, addiction, or any other mental health challenge, we aim to provide a safe, warm, and non-judgmental space for you to learn, heal, and grow.
Our goal is for you to achieve a level of self-awareness, reflection, and courage that you didn’t know existed within you. Not only can you achieve freedom from the issue that’s plaguing you, but also develop healthier tools and resources to live a more authentic, fulfilled, life.
If you are ready to take the first step and reach out, we are ready to welcome you!

Meet Adam
Founder of First Step Men’s Therapy
I started First Step Men's Therapy in 2021 after recognizing in my own journey a need to break the stigma of men seeking help. I wanted to create a space for men that was safe, authentic, and supportive for them to do the work on themselves.
