IBK Ajila

Hi, I’m IBK.

I help men who feel stuck—stuck in their heads, in their habits, or in lives that look fine on the outside but feel disconnected on the inside. If you’ve ever struggled with the pressure to always “have it together,” or wrestled with shame, burnout, or the weight of unspoken emotions, I want you to know you're not alone—and you don’t have to navigate it alone either.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in engineering and leadership development, coaching professionals on how to lead with greater self-awareness and purpose. That path eventually led me to the work I do now: creating safe, judgment-free spaces where people can slow down, look beneath the surface, and reconnect with who they really are.

My passion lies especially in supporting men—those who were taught to be strong, silent, and self-sufficient, even when hurting. Inspired by Terrence Real’s I Don’t Want to Talk About It, I’ve seen firsthand how emotional suppression and internalized shame can mask deep struggles. I’m here to offer something different: a space to be honest, to feel fully, and to begin living in alignment with your values.

Together, we’ll work to:

  • Make sense of your emotional world

  • Reduce the inner pressure to be “on” all the time

  • Clarify what matters most to you—and find ways to live it

  • Navigate transitions with more confidence and less fear

I draw from approaches like CBT, EFT, existential and narrative therapy, always tailoring the process to what feels right for you. Whether you’re facing anxiety, burnout, a major life shift, or just a lingering sense that something’s missing, I’m here to walk with you through it.

Ultimately, my goal is for you to leave our work feeling more connected to yourself and others, more aligned with your purpose, and a little freer in your own skin.

Favourite Book: "I don't want to talk about it" by Terry Real - This book was instrumental in helping me understand how the socialization of men can contribute to emotional suppression, hidden depression, and other mental health challenges. It sparked my passion for working with men and helping them confront their struggles directly rather than masking them through distraction or avoidance.
